When will registration and online housing open?

What is the attire?
Business casual is appropriate for all events unless otherwise specified. Be sure to bring a jacket or sweater, as sometimes the session rooms can be on the cool side.



What is the registration fee for event?
Standard full and one-day registration fees are available here. Additional fees will apply for the NCE Professional Development Seminar, NCE Awards Luncheon, and any other ticketed events.

What’s included in my registration fee?
Your full registration includes admission to all general sessions and breakout sessions. It also includes an opening reception and continental breakfast on Sunday and Monday. One-day fees include advertised meals and sessions for that specific day.

Does the registration fee include air transportation and hotel accommodations?
No. All costs for air transportation and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Yes. After you register online, you will receive an automated email confirming your registration. If you email, fax, or mail your registration form, a confirmation will be sent via email. If you have any questions, please contact Robin Powers at robin@cmig.com.

What types of payments are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. In addition, you can select “pay by check”; however, your registration will not be confirmed until payment has been received by The Arc.

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations may be made for a full refund, less a $25.00 processing fee, if received up to 30 calendar days prior to the start of the event. If you cancel less than 30 days before, you may request a 50% credit towards registration fees for the following year (ticketed events are non-refundable).

Please email all cancellation notices to Robin Powers at robin@cmig.com with the name of the attendee, company name, reason for cancellation, payment method, phone, and email. The Arc reserves the right to review and refund all registration fees it deems appropriate. No refunds for no-shows.

If I cannot attend, can I transfer my registration to someone else?
If you cannot attend but know someone who wants to be there, you can transfer your registration for free until 30 calendar days prior to the start of the event. Less than 30 days before the event, there is a $25 transfer fee.

To transfer your registration, please email Robin Powers at robin@cmig.com with the full name, email address, title, and company name of the new attendee as well as the full name and email address of the person they will be replacing.



Are discounted rates available at the hotel?
The Arc has negotiated a discounted rate at the hotel. Please note that discounted rates are subject to availability.

When will my credit card be charged a deposit?
The hotel will charge one night room and tax as a guarantee for your reservation at the time the reservation is made. Final payment for the remainder of your stay will be collected upon departure and billed to the credit card given at check-in on your arrival day.

What is the hotel cancellation policy? 
If you fail to cancel your sleeping room at least 72 hours prior to your arrival or if you fail to check into the hotel on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will charge your credit card on file one night room and tax as a late cancellation fee.

When do I get a confirmation number? 
An immediate confirmation number will be populated upon completion of booking your room. A confirmation email will be sent within 30 minutes of booking.

Do I have to pay a hotel resort fee? 
No. The Grand Hyatt does not charge a resort fee.

What are the hotel check-in and check-out times?
Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is at 12:00 p.m. Early check-in and late-check out times can be requested and will be granted based on availability.

Can I park at the hotel?

What is the closest airport?
Attendees are responsible for transportation costs to and from the airport. Additional information on travel can be found here.

What kind of weather should I anticipate?
The average temperature in Washington in October is 60°F (high) and 40°F (low). Though the days can get warm, meeting rooms are noticeably cooler, and evenings can also get chillier. Bring a jacket or sweater that you can throw on easily if you begin to feel cold.
