Katrina Scior

Katrina Scior, ClinPsyD PhD, is a senior lecturer in clinical psychology at University College London, U.K. and a chartered clinical psychologist. She has published widely on lay people’s attitudes and stigma concerning intellectual disability, and is concerned with identifying effective interventions to tackle such stigma in diverse cultural and economic contexts. In the past, she has worked with young people and adults with intellectual disabilities in community services and the UK National Health Service, where she witnessed first-hand the negative effects ostracism and discrimination can have on people with intellectual disabilities, their families, and paid carers.
