Kathleen Stauffer, a graduate of Point Park University with a Master of Public Administration degree (M.P.A.) from the University of New Haven, began her professional career as a journalist. In 2005 she was named president and publisher of the U.S. magazine division for Bayard Presse (France) advancing to group publisher. Kathleen joined The Arc New London County in 2009, facilitated a successful merger between The Arc and Seacorp, Inc. in October 2010. She serves on the Human Services Coordinating Council for the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments (SCCOG), was appointed by Governor Malloy to the Governor’s Cabinet on Nonprofit Health and Human Services. She sits on the Board of Directors of The Arc of the United States, the National Conference of Executives of The Arc (NCE), The Connecticut Community Providers Association, The Council of United Way Agency Executives and The Norwich Rotary Club. In 2011, Kathleen won NCE’s Rising Star Award. She was named Executive Director of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut in 2014.
