A PhD student at Adelphi University in Social Welfare, Dena is a National Board Member of The Arc and a National Board Member for GRASP. Dena has presented for the National Autistic Society in Scotland, the UN in Geneva, and for researchers at Cambridge University. She facilitated a Special Interest Group Discussion on including Autistic Intellect in Research Design, Evaluation and Measurement for IMFAR. She was also a contributor to the special invitation discussion on transition for the Government Accountability Office for Congress. She and her son, Patrick recently contributed chapters to “College for Students with Disabilities: We Do Belong” (Shore/Pavan).
